Social media optimization has really grown in the last 12 months and there are now a lot really talented people writing about this topic. It is impossible to read everyone, but these are the social media sites that I read and why:
- Pronet Avertising: Has become one the biggest authorities on social media in about 12 month
- Rohit Bhargava: Not purely SMO, but Rohit is the person who first defined social media optimization
- Neil Patel: Personal site for SMM Guru Neil Patel. Full of great tips and ideas.
- Tom Hayes: A combination of SMM and online marketing.
- Palatnik Factor: I make sure that I listen to Pablo’s podcasts every week
- Viper Chill: Web site of Glen Allsopp. Glenn adds a European, and now South African, perspective to SMM
- Cameron Olthuis (http://www.cameronolthuis.com/): Personal site of SMM Guru Cameron Olthuis. While Cameron does not post that often, his posts are always insightful
- Emergence Media (http://www.emergence-media.com/): Combination of social media and marketing
- Buzz Networker: Really good source for SMM news that is not covered elsewhere
- Top Rank Blog : Lee covers everything from SEO, to SMO to online marketing
- SMO Blog: Combination of SMO and marketing
- Web Strategy by Jeremiah: Terrific insight into how real companies are using social media
- Cornwall SEO: A British look at social media
