So I was at Elite Retreat last week in New York. A group of 30 very successful online marketers. So the questions were asked about Twitter. Do you use it, how do you use it etc.
Without going into specifics (To attend ER you have to sign an NDA) I would say that opinion was split 50-50 on Twitter. You had one group that was very excited about Twitter, who are actively using it to promote their businesses and are making money from it.
You had another group that are not impressed with Twitter and who don’t see the mainstream adoption that is needed to make this service really take off.
It was interesting listening to the arguments as both sides made really good points. It got me thinking that if this group of people, who all make their living marketing online, are split 50-50 on the viability of Twitter as a business tool, what does that say about the future of this service?
